How the print workflow works

01

Generate the sticker

Navigate to any sample record and open the sticker view. SampleLedger renders the label with all current specs pulled directly from the record.

02

Print or export

Click print to send to your label printer directly from the browser. Or export to PDF for batch printing or archiving.

03

Stick and scan

Attach the label to the physical sample. Anyone who scans the QR code with a smartphone camera sees the full public spec page immediately.

The QR code: how it works

Secure unique URLs

Each QR code encodes a unique public URL tied to that colour variant. The URL uses a secure token (not the internal ID), so internal records are never exposed.

No login required

The spec page shows: design number, blend, warp, weft, GSM, GLM, width, and colour. It does not require any login or app.

Always up to date

When specs are updated in SampleLedger, the QR page reflects the change automatically. Old stickers continue to work — they link to the updated record.

Note: A QR code never becomes outdated. Even a sticker printed a year ago will show current specs if the record has been updated.

Printer setup

Recommended printer

TSC TTP-244 Pro — widely used in Indian textile operations. Direct thermal printing, no ink required.

Label size

Configured for standard textile sample labels.

Browser compatibility

Compatible with any modern browser — no driver or plugin required for printing.

PDF export

PDF export mode works with any office printer for batch sticker sheets.

Why this matters for your business

No more sticker typos

Stickers are generated directly from the database record. The spec on the sticker matches the spec in the system, always.

Buyers get instant answers

A buyer who receives a sample can scan the sticker and see full specs in seconds. No back-and-forth, no PDF email chains.

Sticker reprinting is free

Reprint any sticker any time, instantly. Changed a blend percentage? Print a new sticker. It takes five seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print stickers in bulk for a whole sample range?

Yes. SampleLedger supports batch sticker generation. You can generate and print stickers for multiple samples and colour variants at once.

What size are the stickers?

The sticker template is designed for standard label printer paper. The exact dimensions depend on your printer configuration, but the layout is optimised for common label sizes used in textile operations.

Do buyers need an account to view the QR spec page?

No. The public spec page is accessible to anyone with the QR link — no login, no account, no app required.

Can I add my company logo to the sticker?

Yes. The sticker template includes your organisation logo. Upload your logo in organisation settings and it appears on every sticker automatically.

What happens to old stickers if I update the sample specs?

The QR code on the old sticker continues to work and links to the updated spec page. Old stickers do not become invalid — they simply show the latest information.
